“Abracadabra!” The artists featured in the “Clair-obscur” exhibition play the role of alchemists: they explore the four elements—fire, water, air, and earth—and use surprising materials (charcoal, precious stones, objects, microbes) to create works that transform and challenge the way we see things. Accompanied by a guide, children and adults explore the “Clair-obscur” exhibition through guided observation games and hands-on activities. Paintings, sculptures, installations, videos, and photographs reveal themselves in a new light before our eyes: a character becomes a strange creature, an everyday object seems to have come straight out of a fantasy world, and a light makes a shape appear or disappear. Here, nothing is quite what it seems… and that’s the magic of it!
