Because we don't feel the same things when we're wearing a dress, glitter sweatpants, an XXL outfit, or trousers, whether we're men or women, these dress-up sessions invite you to explore the feeling of being someone else, a facet of yourself, stepping into someone else's skin to understand through the senses what an outfit can bring about, in the eyes of others, in your own perceptions, in your view of yourself, and simply to reclaim your own space of "I" through play: who do I want to be?
June 13 at 3 p.m. Dressing Up to Discover Yourself Clothing is a powerful symbol. It shapes how we perceive our embodiment. Reality, illusion? We do not always inhabit our clothes, any more than we inhabit our bodies. Becoming aware of what lies behind this relational piece of fabric, which sometimes protects us and sometimes hides us from ourselves, can prove very effective in healing society from the illusion of appearances. By Caroline Lepeu, artist, author, Montessori educator and former editor. Intergenerational, but children must be accompanied by an adult.
