Nicolas Moreaux is a French jazz double bassist and composer known for his creativity, melodic sense, and great musicality. He studied at the conservatory and quickly made a name for himself on the jazz scene, playing in clubs across Europe and in New York, while developing a career as both sideman and leader. Winner of the Grand Prix du disque Charles‑Cros 2013 for his album Fall Somewhere, he is also co-founder of the trio FOX with guitarist Pierre Perchaud and drummer Jorge Rossy. Now based between Paris and Reykjavik (Iceland), he continues his artistic projects and records new albums blending jazz, original composition, and varied influences.
