Opening the Nuit blanche, the documentary Le Jour d’après, directed by Myrtille Moniot, will be presented in the Auditorium. It traces Emmanuel Régent’s creative process in preparing the exhibition and follows him, from Rivesaltes to Istanbul, from Drancy to Auschwitz, along the last traces of the sun.
On the forecourt, La Veille, a participatory performance designed specifically for the Mémorial and orchestrated by Tami Notsani, focuses on the interpretive dimension of the archival image. In a set design reminiscent of a reception desk, Tami Notsani and her assistants will welcome visitors, invite them to choose an image and describe, in their own words and through cultural and symbolic interpretations as varied as their perspectives, what they see before them. The outcome of this performance will take the form of an installation presented in the crypt during the Journées du patrimoine, on September 19 and 20, 2026. Book
