Interactive installation on fluid identity, between traces and illusion.
Video installation. “Je(u)” is an interactive installation that opens up a space for reflection where identity, which we often think of as stable and solid, both physically and psychologically, reveals itself to be fluid, unstable, ephemeral, almost immaterial, like a ghost. When a visitor enters the space, their image appears and then dissolves into particles in a virtual universe. Influenced by the colors worn by the participants, these traces evolve, meet, and merge with those of others. There is no longer a clear boundary between “you” and “me.” The work brings forth a shifting, relational, and unstable identity, revealing the element of illusion that underpins our perception of reality.
