The immersive performance by the KMK company will be presented twice in the public space of the Ville de Saint-Ouen, as part of “Ce qui nous lie,” presented by Mains d’Œuvres.
ESPÉRANCE DE VI(LL)E: Immersive performance by Cie KMK How can we talk about the dizzying pace of a city transforming (too) quickly, about memories that can no longer find shelter, about buildings that last only a few decades. How can we express our place on the line of time? ESPÉRANCE DE VI(LL)E is an immersive experience that invites the audience to move through a place, its memories and its possible futures. Guided by sound, bodies and the transformations of space, as an installation, performance and sound experience all at once, the show questions how we inhabit the world, transform it and pass it on - offering a glimpse, beyond its disappearance, of possible forms of continuity. Company presentation KMK is an artistic company whose main field of exploration and expression is public space. KMK builds a language and invents creative processes in which different artistic disciplines intertwine and respond to one another, including visual arts, performance, sound creation, dance and literature. KMK’s projects examine our everyday lives, our way of being in the world, the spaces we create, our intimate geography and our relationship with landscapes. KMK cultivates an art of experience in which the spectator is placed in a particular situation, always active in one way or another.
