Dive into the free-spirited, vibrant world of fanzines with Fanzine Machine, a fair celebrating micro-publishing and the DIY spirit at the Médiathèque Simone de Beauvoir d’Athis-Mons.
FANZINE MACHINE L’École et Espace d’art contemporain Camille Lambert presents Fanzine Machine, a micro-publishing fair held at the Médiathèque Simone de Beauvoir d’Athis-Mons (91) An invitation to discover original creations made by the school’s students and local partners. The project celebrates the fanzine, an independent and experimental form of publishing combining text, images, and collage. Rooted in a DIY culture that emerged in the 1930s, it remains today a space for free and collective expression. Guided by illustrator and art director Yassine De Vos (L’Articho), the students created their own publications, brought together in a fair open to everyone. Visitors are invited to discover and acquire the fanzines using Lamberts, a symbolic currency created for the occasion and handed out free of charge at the entrance. Workshops & activities Workshops and activities within the fair allow children and adults alike to create their own fanzine, make glow-in-the-dark badges, or decorate themselves with colorful glitter!
