À contre-courant, Navigation project, visual and sound installation, 2026 On April 3, 2026, LUSA, a small Mediterranean pointu boat, left the port of Sète in the South of France. Over two months, it traveled nearly 1,000 km upstream along rivers and canals, passing through 171 locks, from the Mediterranean to Paris. This journey is a work in motion, a geographical, symbolic, and emotional crossing that explores the links between territories, landscapes, and creation. Along the way: encounters, collections, and moments of creation, making the route itself an integral part of the work. Upon arrival, the project becomes a floating installation inspired by carnival giants and accompanied by a sound installation that lets the public discover the behind-the-scenes story of the crossing. Built progressively throughout the journey, this work blends contemporary creation with the participation of residents met along the waterways. It extends Nuit Blanche beyond the capital, builds bridges between regions, and carries a little of the soul of each territory crossed at every stage. Mr. & Mr. is a creative studio founded in 2010 and based in Montpellier and Sète, made up of the designer duo Alexis Lautier and Pierre Talagrand. Their hybrid practice combines design, craftsmanship, architecture, and the repurposing of materials. Their work explores everyday uses through a sensitive approach in which time, experience, and experimentation play a central role. Relive their crossing in the logbook Les Majors Girls Les Majors Girls from Montpellier offer majorette demonstrations near Mr. & Mr.’s floating installation À contre-courant. At 7 p.m. and 11:30 p.m.
