To mark the 60th anniversary of this legendary film, winner of 39 awards including the Palme d'or and 2 Oscars, the screening celebrates the opening of the event through 4 experiences dedicated to Claude Lelouch: L'Amour en mouvement

A film born of urgency and movement In 1966, Claude Lelouch, desperate after several cinematic failures, drove through the night from Paris. The road led him to Deauville. At daybreak, he saw a woman walking on the beach with her child — and the idea for the screenplay came to him. This is how his 7th feature film was born, now one of the most celebrated love stories in cinema history. Palme d'or at Cannes, Oscar for Best Foreign Language Film, 39 international awards: Un homme et une femme embodies Lelouch's entire philosophy — filming love as it happens, capturing the “scent of truth” before reality disappears. Unique shooting conditions – the secrets of a miracle Minimal budget, small crew. Lelouch operated the camera himself — as he would for all his films. Budget constraints became artistic signatures: exteriors in color, interiors in black and white. Actors without scripted lines, genuine emotion. Anouk Aimée and Jean-Louis Trintignant did not know their lines in advance. The final scene, at gare Saint-Lazare, was shot without permission in a single take. Anouk Aimée did not know that Trintignant was waiting for her on the platform — her surprise is authentic and became the film's ending. Danger as truth. For the rally scenes, Lelouch put Trintignant into the real Monte-Carlo competition, without insurance, with a camera in the car. The danger was real. I speed ahead, I discover. Claude Lelouch, Music before the image Francis Lai's music was composed before filming had ended, listened to in the car by the composer himself until the images came to him. For Lelouch, music always comes before the image — because it speaks first to the heart. An immersive tribute exhibition (Saturday, June 6) Beyond the screening, an exhibition space is dedicated to him: filming objects, archive videos, and one of the cameras from the film are presented to the public. A dive behind the scenes of a masterpiece made with almost nothing, except the audacity to love. original poster Un homme et une femme; Credits: Les Films 13
