Theater and puppetry show: Post Party by Big Up Compagnie at La Nef (Pantin).
24 hours in the life of a woman in the postpartum period... Pushing back against stereotypes, Big Up Cie tackles the taboo of postpartum depression in a show where humor, music, and puppetry intertwine. On stage, actor-puppeteer Alice Chéné embodies the solitude of a young mother who is active and full of desire. The weight of society's dictates on her shoulders, the responsibility for a life in her arms. The intensity of a new happiness and the abandonment of a way of life that has vanished forever. Postpartum is a party, or rather the day after a party, when you no longer know what is true, when everything you believed in is demystified. With a blend of humor and emotion, Post party plunges us into the heart of a woman's intimacy, dreaming of a party to forget the constraints of a patriarchal society that demands perfection from mothers.
