Touch of Winds is an installation where wind becomes music and movement
The Touch of Winds installation is an immersive installation that makes the random movements of air perceptible. Two sails made of conductive metallic fabric move freely through the space, animated by the wind. When they touch, an electrical current is created and triggers a sound and light composition. The work also takes the form of a collaboration with the French musician Delawhere. He will perform semi-improvised pieces in dialogue with the installation, with 15-minute performances every hour. At the crossroads of sound art and kinetic installation, Touch of Winds offers a dramaturgy of breath, made of waiting and fleeting encounters. Vincent de Malherbe is a French contemporary artist exploring interaction and sound. He is co-founder and member of the artist collective Can Touch This. Can Touch This is an artist collective creating multi-sensory experiences at the intersection of art and technology. Working at the crossroads of immersive installation, sound design, and performance, the group designs interactions that invite audiences to feel, react, and connect.
