Gestural, immersive sound ballet for Métallophone and six percussionists.
Performance, Music Les Métamorphoses is an immersive, multidisciplinary work dedicated to the Métallophone, an instrument conceived by Bastien David. The 6 percussionists of the company Les Insectes perform this gestural and sound ballet, blending musical virtuosity with choreographic performance. 20-minute concerts at 7 p.m., 8 p.m., 9 p.m. and 10 p.m. Free admission subject to availability, at the start time of each concert Bastien David, musical director: born in 1990, he is passionate about the diversity of living things. The foundations of his inspiration lie in the sensitive relationships sounds form with one another and their ability to move through time and space. Through his music, Bastien invites audiences to experience reality. He imagines organic, volatile sound worlds and darkness, offering a perspective on the complexity of the worlds around us. Winner of the 2025 Ernst von Siemens Prize, supported by the Fondation Hervé Dugardin and the Fondation Banque Populaire, he has been a resident at the Villa Médicis in Rome, Villa Concordia in Bamberg, and Casa de Velàsquez - Académie de France in Madrid. With the support of the Fondation d'entreprise Société Générale and Caisse des Dépôts, as well as Spedidam, Adami and SACEM.
