Jesustreet unveils the mystery of Jesus through the meditative working of materials

Sculpture Trained in classical art through engraving, Hacene Sadoune spent several years learning from master artist Michel Lorenzi. He then completed a year of apprenticeship with a renowned sculptor. Recognized in the world of contemporary art, he nevertheless chose to leave everything behind to devote himself to a deeper, more spiritual project: Jesustreet. This turning point was first and foremost an inner quest, a personal spiritual search that led him to question the meaning of art and life. For twelve years, Hacene Sadoune isolated himself, shaping works imbued with this visceral need for connection. His gesture, clear and direct, was to bring Christ’s message back onto the paving stones of the street, far from temples and institutions. It was not an attempt at worship, but an invitation to an intimate encounter, to a sincere dialogue with oneself. He entrusted his sculptures to street artists, to the asphalt, to the soul of the city. At the heart of this project is a striking bronze: Christ, marked by the stigmata of our time - wounds, scars of wars, of violence – a ruby tear, a symbol both of pain and of fragile hope. This is not a religious proposition, but a personal and spiritual journey, an invitation to question oneself at the deepest level. Hacene Sadoune reminds us that, in a disoriented world, the path of encounter and sharing may perhaps remain the only path toward the future.
