As part of the ManiFeste-2026 festival, an anniversary concert celebrates György Kurtág’s 100th birthday with contemporary premieres and the Ensemble intercontemporain conducted by Pierre Bleuse.
To celebrate György Kurtág’s centenary, Messages de feu Demoiselle R.V. Troussova! This monodrama has its roots in the poetry of Rimma Dalos: the same feel for the sonic or poetic instant, the same incisive and memorable language. Alongside Kurtág, Hungarian artist Márton Illés integrates electronics into his mastery of orchestration, while Isabel Mundry stages a voice in the world. The individual facing their environment: an exercise in power and powerlessness.
