A participatory scientific concert by Ircam exploring musical listening and auditory attention through an interactive experience with the audience.
As part of the Échappées inattendues du CNRS, what makes our listening attention drawn to one voice rather than another? Or, conversely, what causes our auditory attention to fade and our imagination to start wandering? In short, how do composers play with our attention? This concert-experiment explores the mysteries of musical listening and invites the audience to take part live in a scientific experiment using a mobile phone.
