The Yellow Party, created as part of Nuit Blanche, is set to be a major festive and participatory gathering, combining a collective dance party and DJ set. To take a full role in it, the public is invited to join, beforehand, an introductory workshop designed as preparation for the party.
Designed as a moment for transmission and sharing, this workshop gives everyone the chance to discover and learn some of the dances that will make up the participatory ball. Choreographer Mickaël Phelippeau invites several artists with distinctive worlds — Marie-Laure Caradec, Ben Cissé, Anastasia Moussier and Alban Richard — to guide participants as they learn the gestures, rhythms and energies specific to the Yellow Party. Each artist teaches a dance to music of their choice with a title containing the word “Jaune,” “Yellow,” “Amarillo,” or “Gelb,” offering concrete keys to make the evening their own. By taking part in this workshop, participants become true accomplices of the Yellow Party, ready to join the participatory ball and amplify its collective momentum. The evening then continues with a DJ set by Verginie Descente, whose free and incandescent universe blends house, pop and techno to get bodies moving and transform the dance floor into a shared party space. Friendly and unifying, this workshop is also a chance to meet and dance together. No dress code is required, but yellow will be in the spotlight: accessory, detail or total look, every flight of fancy is welcome to light up the night.
