À propos

Exposition Générale centered on love and our relationships with others.

Painting, Drawing, Photography, Video, Installation, Sculpture, Exhibition For this 25th edition of Nuit Blanche, the Fondation Cartier pour l’art contemporain is exceptionally keeping its doors open until midnight (last entry at 10:30 p.m.). Visitors are invited to discover or rediscover Exposition Générale and to enjoy an immersive experience through a musical program taking over its auditorium. The evening unfolds through tours and conversations around this year’s theme, exploring Exposition Générale through the lens of love, care, and connection with others. Self-guided visits, conversations with the mediators present in the galleries, and Flash Tours, renamed for the occasion as “Coup de foudre” tours, offered every 30 minutes, invite visitors to revisit the works through the prism of bonds and attachment, while a workshop open to everyone offers a moment of artistic practice to enjoy alone or with friends. The galerie Valois, the former shopping arcade connecting the current Palais-Royal – Musée du Louvre metro station (lines 1 and 7) to the historic Grands Magasins du Louvre, is also open until midnight. It hosts an extension of the Raymond Hains project: the work in progress . Du Grand Louvre aux 3 Cartier , which unfolds on the place du Palais-Royal. Free admission for everyone, by reservation through the Fondation Cartier online ticket office. The “Coup de foudre” tours for everyone from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m., every 30 minutes For Nuit Blanche, the Fondation Cartier invites visitors to discover Exposition Générale through the lens of love, care, and connection with the works. After nightfall, the emblematic Flash Tour format, which offers guided introductions to the exhibition, is transformed into the “Coup de foudre” tours. Spanning forty years of contemporary creation around the world, these tours offer a gentle and attentive reading of the works. They invite visitors to approach them differently, in a more intimate, almost suspended relationship, where the gaze becomes slower, more open, and more receptive. Some works bear witness to romantic impulses, while others were born from close collaborations, whether friendly or artistic, where connection becomes a driving force for creation. Some, more immersive, call for a shared experience, between two, three, or more people, while others present themselves as true declarations addressed to their subject. Led by the cultural mediation teams, these short tours offer a fresh interpretation of the works and an opportunity to discover or rediscover Exposition Générale through the prism of artistic love at first sight, dialogue, and sharing. Free by reservation, they can be freely included in the visit route, subject to availability. Gestures of love & objects to share Open workshop for everyone, subject to availability, from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m., continuously at La Manufacture For this new Nuit Blanche, the Fondation Cartier invites visitors to discover La Manufacture, its new space dedicated to hands-on artistic practice and mediation through making. From 7 p.m. to 11 p.m., the workshop offers an exploration of ex-voto practices, forms of symbolic offerings that, across cultures, express attachments, hopes, or personal impulses. Open continuously, this introductory workshop invites everyone to create an object using simple materials, in a free approach with no technical prerequisites. Participants can take part at their own pace, for a short or longer session, moving through freely.
