SCHUMANN - Concerto for Cello - Soloist Raphael Moraly program completed by STRAUSS - Overture to Die Fledermaus ENESCO - Second Romanian Rhapsody DEBUSSY - Prelude to the Afternoon of a Faun by LA PHILHARMONIE PARISIENNE CONDUCTOR - JÉRÔME SIMON amateur symphony orchestra created in 2014, conducted by Jérôme Simon: Professional Violinist and Conductor. This orchestra, in residence at Lycée La Rochefoucauld (Paris 7th), presents 3 different programs of major works each year, while also featuring lesser-known composers or works. Soloist: Raphael Moraly Cello trained from a very young age at the CRR of Cergy-Pontoise and Rueil-Malmaison. He pursued his higher studies in Germany at the Hochschule für Musik in Freiburg, and at the HFMDK in Stuttgart where he earned his Bachelor’s degree, then completed his higher training at the Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler in Berlin, where he earned his Master’s degree in Cello in 2017. In 2014, he was a prizewinner at the International Competition of the Carl Orff Akademie. In 2015, he won 1st Prize at the Don Vicenzo Vitti International Music Competition in Italy and Germany, and 1st Prize at the 2016 Carl Wendling Chamber Music Competition as part of Quatuor Elouan.
