During Nuit Blanche, all of LE BAL’s spaces will be open to the public and free late into the night: bookshop, exhibition space, café/restaurant, creating, in the depths of the night, a place for discovery and conviviality.
Photography, Video, Installation, Exhibition Building on the success of the 2025 edition of "La Fabrique du Regard - Le Festival" and its Nuit Blanche with a "cinema" focus, the new edition will take over all of LE BAL’s spaces from June 2 to 7, 2026. During this week of exhibitions, screenings, workshops, and debates, 2,000 young people and around forty artists will discover and share their creations, films, publications, and sound works, imagined around the theme "Emancipating Yourself Through Images". A discussion is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. During Nuit Blanche 2026, LE BAL plans to create a special evening dedicated to live performance, with several performances envisioned around the theme of transmission. The planned program will give pride of place to several sensory experiences or talks by invited personalities, as well as various festive moments (DJ set, food offering, etc.). A few names are currently being considered, and the idea would be to partner with another institution in order to broaden the project’s reach. LE BAL is an independent venue dedicated to exhibitions, publishing, reflection, and education around contemporary images in all their forms: photography, video, cinema, and new media. Designed as a space for critical thinking, it explores the aesthetic, social, and political issues of images in our society. Since its creation, LE BAL has presented more than 55 exhibitions and developed a rigorous program open to all audiences. Through La Fabrique du Regard, its education and creation department, more than 35,000 young people have been supported through image education and artistic practice programs, fostering critical thinking and emancipation.
