This evening, entirely dedicated to dance and collective experiences, invites audiences on an intense choreographic journey where energy, rhythm, and creativity unfold on stage.
LEÏLA KA, C’est toi qu’on adore - at 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. (duration 25 min) In a winding trajectory made up of moments of victory and weakness, where hope and disillusionment intertwine, C’est toi qu’on adore is a cry of hope in which the body exults in what it holds most dear: the life force that keeps us standing. Performed more than 150 times in its original duet version, Leïla Ka recreates her second piece, C’est toi qu’on adore, here for an ensemble of 26 dancers from the CNSMD. Leïla Ka is a French choreographer and dancer known for her singular contemporary style, combining emotional intensity, gestural creativity, and urban influences. With Drummers, Olivier Dubois has guided 50 amateur dancers from Essonne in pushing beyond themselves through a collective dance inspired by Ravel’s Boléro. Here, the individual disappears in favor of the whole, and the whole exists only through each person. Every body becomes percussion; every gesture builds the energy. Also of note is the exceptional presence of Yuksek, who will perform his electro version of Boléro live. Immerse yourself in a performance where the beat grows, hypnotic and obsessive, all the way to explosion! Olivier Dubois (born in 1972 in Roubaix. He lives and works in Paris) is a French choreographer and dancer known for his powerful, immersive work, blending rigor with collective energy. He explores rhythm, the body, and stage presence, integrating both professional and amateur dancers into his creations. First, choreographer Mickaël Phelippeau invites several artists with distinctive worlds — Marie-Laure Caradec, Ben Cissé, Anastasia Moussier, and Alban Richard. Each of them presents a dance to music whose title includes the word “Jaune,” “Yellow,” “Amarillo,” or “Gelb,” and teaches their choreography to the audience. The party then continues with a DJ set by Verginie Descente, whose free-spirited and incandescent universe blends house, pop, and techno to set bodies vibrating and transform the dance floor into a shared celebration space. Yellow will be in the spotlight: come with an accessory, a detail, or a full yellow look; every flight of fancy is welcome to light up the night. Mickaël Phelippeau is a French choreographer and dancer. After studying visual arts and dance, he developed a choreographic approach based on encounter and otherness. He works with performers, collectives, and in different contexts to create choreographic portraits.
