A magnificent surge of hope and joy, Haendel’s Messiah offers us a vast emotional palette.
A masterful work of such power that it has endured through the centuries since 1741. Through its clear narrative, it reflects the spirituality Haendel sought to express and carries a message close to his heart: helping humanity become better. First performed in 1742 in Dublin as part of a charity concert, it is said that the King of England stood up, no doubt trembling with emotion, when he heard the Hallelujah... This shows just how happy we are to be part of this great adventure, and how aware we are of the privilege of working on this Messiah and performing it with the ensemble Les Muses Galantes under the direction of Olivier Frontière. That joy is multiplied when shared with the audience. We hope to see many of you there!
