Festival dedicated to young creators: 15 cultural events over 15 days …

The Festival 15 Cents Coups is an emblematic cultural event dedicated to young creators and designed as a space for artistic freedom. Built around a borderless program blending theater, song, dance, literature, cinema, and music, it brings the imagination, energy, and passion of more than 1 00 young creators to life over 15 days. Each year, the festival offers a special moment for encounters, exchange, and discovery. It invites audiences, professionals, and artists on a festive, poetic, and generous journey, driven by the belief that creation is an essential breath for thinking, dreaming, and transforming the world. 2. A Range of Shows MONDAY, JUNE 8, 2026 - ESPACE PARIS PLAINE 8 PM: “Ce qui retient, ce qui s ’ envole” A show about freedom, that intimate and universal dream. Through theater, song and dance, silences and music, one question emerges: is freedom a quest or an illusion? Inspired in particular by Ibsen, Shakespeare, Camus and other major authors, as well as by original texts created for the occasion, this stage journey blends literary heritage with contemporary creation. An experience in which freedom is not a concept, but an emotion to be lived. TUESDAY, JUNE 9, 2026 - ESPACE PARIS PLAINE - 8 PM: “Roi des rats” A forgotten war, somewhere. A group of journalism students setting out to do their first field report. Men and women who fight, love and die… but not on Sundays. And then, in the shadows, the Other. The one who watches. The one who thinks. The one who chooses. Roi des rats questions our relationship with the overconsumption of information. In the age of the internet, AI and fake news, how can we still be touched by the reality of the world around us? Have we not, in the end, become numb to the flood of images surrounding us every day behind our screens? WEDNESDAY, JUNE 10, 2026 - MÉDIATHÈQUE MARGUERITE YOURCENAR - 4 PM: “RePlayEr” Do we truly have a choice? Who can really claim to be free? Through RePlayEr , redefine freedom in an epic, modern and sincere adventure. In an interactive structure conceived like a video game and based on the audience’s choices, travel, discover and “play” alongside fantastic characters in a world waiting for you to shape it. THURSDAY, JUNE 11, 2026 - ESPACE PARIS PLAINE - 8 PM: “La peau épaisse” How can we remain free in a world that no longer is? Peau épaisse is a work that recalls the authoritarian drift of the masses, now carried by social media. All the characters gradually give in to the temptation of populism, except one. Despite loneliness and fear, Bérangère embodies a fragile yet essential freedom that must be preserved. FRIDAY, JUNE 12, 2026 - ESPACE PARIS PLAINE - 8 PM: “La Libertad” Everything you are about to see is inspired by true stories. In a media landscape where sensationalism often takes precedence over truth, where emotion outweighs reflection, reality can sometimes end up seeming absurd. Why are we constantly seeking novelty, powerful images, emotional shocks? How can a simple news item, reported by a newspaper or amplified on social media, reveal something deeper about our society? And what if the message were simply that of a humanity paralyzed by the incessant flood of information overwhelming it? Who are these articulated puppets, by turns actors and spectators in this great media carnival? Between gravity and burlesque, humor and emotion, laughter and tears, music and songs, we will set out on an adventure through the fragments of a world where fiction now seems to surpass reality. SATURDAY, JUNE 13, 2026 - BIBLIOTHÈQUE GUTENBERG - 3 PM AND 4:30 PM: “Théodule et Tintamarre” Two clowns in an office. What does that make? A pointless question, you might say. Yet it is this very question that gave birth to the show. Still, no one knows what clowns do in an office. Our two specimens are named Théodule and Tintamarre and work for a stationery company. A fulfilling job in many ways, because, as true professionals, they work tirelessly, wrapped in their little sleeping bags that make them look like adorable caterpillars with glasses. Days and nights, they stamp paperwork. Ah, the sweet sound of the stamp stamping… But one day, the machine goes out of order and our clowns spiral out of control… And when the curtain falls, one question remains: are we not, in the end, all clowns for shutting ourselves inside a little box eight hours a day SATURDAY, JUNE 13, 2026 - CENTRE DES ARTS DE LA SCÈNE - 5 PM: “Les Brèves” , 3 one-act shows, reflecting writing today. “13H49”: Though only in his thirties, Gabriel, a trader, has gradually lost himself in the sterile depths of a trading floor. Worn down by this toxic atmosphere, he finally decides to dive into the true pleasures of existence: travel, friendships, love… But faced with time slipping away, and with the one watching him, is it already too late to learn how to live? “Là où la liberté des rails”: Lucide boards an enigmatic train in search of his freedom. On board, he meets characters as fascinating as they are unsettling, all pursuing the same ideal. But beneath the strangeness and humor, a growing tension slowly takes hold. Madness, anxiety and melancholy invade the journey, under the troubling authority of the train’s conductor. A gripping closed-door drama where freedom always seems to slip away between the rails. “Ballet d ’ une cocotte-minute”: Who has never felt on the verge of breaking down? Like a pressure cooker ready to explode, without knowing why. Chained to a monotonous routine, where each day is one drop too many in an already full vase. Pushed to the limit, Léa is far from imagining what she is about to do. How will she get there? What will happen? Come find out by lifting the lid on Ballet d ’ une cocotte-minute . SATURDAY, JUNE 13, 2026 - CENTRE DES ARTS DE LA SCÈNE - 6:30 PM: “Beast” We meet Lou and Marie, Siamese brother and sister from birth, with very different personalities. Living in a cell under a white sheet, they become fairground attractions. They discover that their father is responsible. It is then that they meet Olivia Matria, who offers to take them in at her freak show. They will encounter colorful characters who make them question their own freedom… SATURDAY, JUNE 13, 26 - CENTRE DES ARTS DE LA SCÈNE - 8 PM: “Dernière nuit d ’ Anne Bonny” Anne Bonny, a female pirate, is about to be executed. As the crowd demands her head, an unexpected figure intervenes: Death itself, pleading for a delay so that Anne Bonny may tell her story. Will she manage to touch the people’s hearts and escape her fate? Her story will decide. MONDAY, JUNE 15, 26 - SALLE LECOURBE - 8:30 PM: Musical theater evening-2 projects on the bill “Oser être”: a group of young people brings an abandoned theater back to life. Through cleaning, repair and collective creation, they face their fears, celebrate their dreams and assert their identity. Between songs and concrete gestures, the venue becomes a reflection of their courage, solidarity and desire to fully realize themselves. An ode to resilience, freedom and the power of shared daring. “Triburlesque”: Monday, June 15, 1954, the hearing begins. Facing the judge, lawyers and police officers, female criminals try to explain their actions, under the sharp gaze of a journalist and his assistant, and of course, the jurors. In this courthouse, though newly refurbished, old ideas persist. Although the outcome of this trial is a matter of life and death, it is likely that many other battles are being fought outside the courtroom. Blending song and dance, the characters express themselves in this trial as if with one last breath to regain their freedom. Welcome to Triburlesque . TUESDAY, JUNE 16, 2026 - CINÉ-THÉÂTRE CHAPLIN SAINT-LAMBERT - 9 PM: “Les messes basses” A Sunday of reflection, the new season begins, and nothing goes as planned. In this parish, even the silences have something to say. Between pious rivalries, petty meanness and barely whispered gossip, the arrival of Barthélémy, a new officiant as inexperienced as he is clumsy, stirs things up. Soon, whispers become arguments, good intentions go off track and the ceremony descends into chaos. In this biting comedy full of misunderstandings, masks fall, egos clash and the faith of the faithful is put to the test… WEDNESDAY, JUNE 17, 2026 - LE MAGASIN - 8 PM: “Parking Stalingrad” In an underground parking lot at place Stalingrad, a group of homeless people has managed to create a kind of small community where people support one another and try to hold on to the hope of a better life. While the law of the strongest is often enforced violently, tenderness and solidarity try to prevail, and these new “heavenly tramps” deploy treasures of imagination in an attempt to forget their grim reality, defend their freedom and hope for the arrival of a new savior. THURSDAY, JUNE 18, 2026 - LE MAGASIN: 8 PM: “Même si le monde meurt ou le tout grand voyage” As the hour and date of the end of the world are announced, a woman gives birth to a child who will have to live an entire life in just a few days. A doomed world urgently discovers the freedom to live. A dystopia full of hope. FRIDAY, JUNE 19, 2026 - LE MAGASIN: 8 PM: “Ubu roi” A man decides he will be king. He speaks loudly, acts quickly and tolerates no limits. In the name of his freedom, he takes everything — until he silences others. We laugh, then the laughter cracks: something becomes familiar. His freedom begins where yours disappears. SATURDAY, JUNE 20, 2026 - CENTRE DES ARTS DE LA SCÈNE - 5 PM: “Zone 0” In a box, individuals are locked away. For how long? Who are they? What do they want? The characters are in constant confrontation: no one trusts anyone. The more time passes in this box, the more their personalities are revealed. Their physical states deteriorate and they gradually lose their humanity. In a society where human beings are forced to fear one another, the oppressed become oppressors, the oppressors become oppressed… SATURDAY, JUNE 20, 2026 - CENTRE DES ARTS DE LA SCÈNE - 6:30 PM: “Akroma” In a world where everything must be named, where every emotion and every sensation is labeled, AKROMA proposes a return to the essential. The piece invites the spectator to experience emotions without filters, without interpretation, in their fundamental intensity. Here, the body becomes the primary language: every gesture, every breath, every movement expresses what cannot be said. The spectator is not merely a witness: they are invited to feel, to let themselves be crossed by vibrations, rhythms, lights and sounds. AKROMA is an immersive journey into the heart of emotions, a sensory exploration where the stage becomes a living space, where every body tells a story. 3. Seventeen years of daring and youth Creating a festival is a bold bet. The Festival 15 Cents Coups took that bet in 2010, with the ambition of offering a vibrant showcase for contemporary creation . Since then, this annual event has continued to grow and assert its uniqueness. Over seventeen years, it has included: - more than 300 performances , - around fifty partner venues , - more than 35,000 spectators who have helped make the festival a major event. The Festival has revealed young artists who now pursue national or international careers. It continues to be fueled by the same desire: to give emerging creators a voice and allow each of them to be heard. 4. A theme as a driving force for imagination One of the festival’s foundations is to offer an original theme each year . These themes, deliberately open and poetic, invite artists to explore, dare and invent. They are like lighthouses , buoys cast into the sea , invitations to travel. “En quête de liberté” is the theme chosen for this new edition of the Festival. 5. The spirit of the Festival: commitment, sharing and wonder Each edition of the Festival 15 Cents Coups rests on a unique spirit: collective commitment . Artists, volunteers, technicians, partners, audiences: all share the same enthusiasm for bringing to life an event founded on conviviality , creativity and generosity . In 2026, the festival will celebrate: - today ’ s writing , - contemporary voices , - revisited stories from the past , - poetic force , - and the freshness of new perspectives . The festival’s success rests on the synergy of everyone involved: artistic, administrative and technical teams, and cultural partners. Like a hive buzzing with activity, each person contributes to the birth of something rare: a space where dreams, hope and collective intelligence take shape . The spectators themselves become actors: they are “activists” for a more open world, poets, rich in curiosity and desire. The festival’s watchwords: Culture, sharing, innovation, imagination, transmission. 6. A story rooted in the local area Since 2010, the Festival 15 Cents Coups has presented each year a wide range of projects led by young creators: actors, directors, singers, choreographers, musicians, filmmakers. The founding wager: to make the city an open stage , a cultural agora where art mingles with daily life and creates a direct bond with the public. Renewing, inventing, experimenting: this has been the festival’s guiding line since its creation. 7. Partners: cultural venues and artistic allies Each year, around fifteen venues in the 15th arrondissement become the festival’s showcases. Each hosts one or more actions, depending on the projects and technical constraints. 8. The organizer: the Centre des Arts de la Scène The festival is led by the Centre des Arts de la Scène , an essential cultural venue in the 15th arrondissement. A dynamic and innovative space, it offers: - more than one hundred performances per year , - training in theater, song and dance , - support from more than 30 professional artists . The Centre des Arts de la Scène imagined a multicultural, supportive festival, open to all, without artistic hierarchy. A generous, ambitious, festive and deeply human festival. This event is produced with the Compagnie Temporalia , a leading organization in live performance production. The festival owes its success to the involvement of more than 100 artists , eager to share their passion with the public. 9. An open voice Since 2010, the Festival 15 Cents Coups has embodied a vision: to let a wind of culture, invention and generosity blow through the city. Carried by artists, volunteers, enthusiasts and a loyal audience, it affirms year after year the power of creative youth and the need to invent spaces for sharing, dreaming and encounters. Happy Festival to all! May poetry, imagination and enthusiasm continue to light up our streets and our minds.
