Bringing together some twenty modern and contemporary artists from the Collection Pinault, the exhibition “Clair-obscur” traces, from darkness to light, the legacy of chiaroscuro as it resonates with the present day. The museum is transformed into a landscape that is both luminist and twilight-like, immersing visitors in a reflection between the visible and the invisible, where the materiality of light and the shadowy areas of the unconscious find expression.
Free late opening from 5 p.m. to midnight at the Bourse de Commerce – Pinault Collection. The exhibition “Clair-obscur” invites you to discover around one hundred modern and contemporary works from the Collection Pinault. From painting to video, the museum is transformed into a sensitive landscape that carries the public into the heart of a dialogue between visible and invisible, between shadow and light. At the heart of the museum, the Rotonde becomes a site with uncertain contours, where visitors appear and disappear within a “fog sculpture” by Fujiko Nakaya, experiencing it as much as contemplating it.
