A Forest Within: an undulating stroll between land and river, vibrant light
Installation “At home, the forest flows all the way to the river. Among the slender trunks of maples and birches, my mind wanders with each step, following the paths toward the Saint-Laurent as it suddenly opens out, vast and majestic. It is this same wandering that I invite you to experience here, in the chapelle des Récollets: a walk through an imagined forest that, at dusk, transforms into an ocean swell.” For this Parisian Nuit blanche, Pierre Bruneau unveils a striking original installation made entirely of PVC tubes, evoking a birch forest. Initially vertical and rigid, the work unfolds into a vibrant structure through the use of phosphorescent pigments that transform it with the surrounding light. Using the illusion of a delicate curved line embedded in its very components, the motorized structure opens here into an undulating panorama that echoes the river. The artist invites you to wander through the heart of this vibrant structure, at the edge between land and river. Event organized by the Maison de l’architecture Ile-de-France In partnership with the Centre international d’accueil et d’échanges des Récollets – Hénéo, the Conseil régional de l’ordre des architectes d’Ile-de-France.
