The American Choir for World Peace is an ecumenical choral ensemble made up of singers from across the United States. Created in honor of its nation's 250th anniversary, this group will represent the United States as part of the 2026 D-Day landing commemorations in France. During their time abroad, the singers will have the opportunity to take part in powerful musical moments on the beaches of Normandy, during wreath-laying ceremonies at the American cemetery, and in the region's churches and cathedrals, including the recently restored Notre-Dame de Paris cathedral. Under the direction of Justin L. Addington, from Savannah, and accompanied by Julia Tucker, the choir hopes to use the spiritual power of music to call the nations of the world to greater cooperation and unity.
