A breathtaking flutist and vocalist, prolific composer, Naïssam Jalal creates a personal, vibrant musical universe that restores the full meaning of the word freedom. Leading four ensembles and with ten albums to her name, Naïssam Jalal performs on stages in France and around the world, sharing powerful experiences with audiences. A multi-award-winning artist, the flutist received the Victoires du Jazz 2019 (+4 nominations) and was named Chevalière des Arts et des Lettres. Last May, she unveiled her new album « Souffles », a musical dialogue with eight outstanding wind instrumentalists, including the legendary Archie Shepp. « Souffles » has been praised by the press (The Guardian, Jazzwise, Rolling Stone, Télérama, Le Monde..) and supported by many radio stations, including BBC Radio 6, FIP, Jazz FM UK, and Deutschlandradio. With "Landscapes of Eternity", Naïssam Jalal explores the fundamental connection between music, nature, and spirituality at the heart of Indian classical music, in a new creation centered on the landscapes of North India. The flutist traveled alone through India for several months in search of the spirit of Hindustani music. Enriched by encounters and teachings, she composed an intimate, spiritual repertoire based on the sensations and reflections that moved through her during her travels.
