Activities and tastings await you at the village set up at place des Fêtes for the opening of the Festival du mieux manger, which runs from June 6 to 14. It’s the festive, family-friendly Parisian gathering focused on sustainable food and agriculture.

From 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., come wander among the stands to taste local products, try an athlete’s smoothie, repot plants, learn all about composting, and find out about existing solidarity-based organizations and municipal programs, while taking part in games or activities. A brass band will accompany you throughout the afternoon. Vegetable garden workshop at the bibliothèque Maurice Genevoix (18th) In parallel, on Saturday morning (10:30 a.m.), children and adults are invited to a family vegetable garden workshop in the heart of the library garden. The choice is yours By Les jardins de Thé: Presentation of tea cultivation and aromatic plants grown in Paris, with tastings of infusions and fermented drinks made with koso (fermented syrup). The workshop also includes mediation around the ingredients used, spices, and culinary exchanges between different regions of the world, while highlighting seasonal products and food practices. L'eau de Paris is available still or sparkling, plain or flavored Discover Eau de Paris, responsible for producing, transporting, and distributing water in the capital. It is involved at every stage of the water cycle, from source to tap. Spin the wheel to answer questions about the water cycle in Paris. Learn all about organic agriculture in Île-de-France, local and seasonal Le Groupement Agriculteurs Biologiques Région Île-de-France offers an activity introducing organic agriculture, from production to consumption, to help people better understand the principles of this cultivation method. You’ll find answers to your questions and to common assumptions the general public may have. A discovery table of seasonal local organic products will be available, and for younger visitors, an activity will be organized around recognizing fruits and vegetables and their seasonality. Smoothies made with leg power Offered by la Ferme de Paris: this will also be an opportunity to discuss the Plan Alimentation Durable and la Ville de Paris’s sustainable food strategy. Don’t hesitate to burn some energy on a smoothie bike: the faster you pedal, the faster the seasonal fruits and vegetables will be blended, and the sooner you can take your time tasting them. Pop-up vegetable garden and repotting workshop Offered by la Direction des espaces verts et de l'environnement: an activity led by City staff, with whom you can also discuss municipal programs that support training in sustainable agriculture and food, or the goals set by the Plan alimentation durable 2022-2027 for 100% organic and sustainable collective catering. Tomato plants and aromatic herbs are waiting for you to repot them. Sorting, composting… not so easy? Offered by la Direction de la propreté et de l’eau, two activities: the first on sorting and managing food waste, and the second on composting (with a composting specialist). What is a Parisculteur?
