A workshop to learn how to train your pet to take part in care voluntarily.
Cooperative care, also known as Medical Training, involves teaching an animal to voluntarily cooperate with everyday care and handling. First developed for captive wild animals, this method is now used with dogs and cats to reduce stress and strengthen trust between the animal and the human. Trimming claws, cleaning ears, or examining a paw can become calmer moments, carried out with the animal’s consent and participation. During this workshop, you will discover the key principles of cooperative care and learn simple exercises to practice at home with your dog or cat. The workshop is led by Mathilde Bécourt, dog trainer and canine and feline behaviorist, and offered by the Institut Bonaparte, a training center for animal-related professions.
