Contemporary jazz — With his trio, Armel Dupas blends elegance and humanity, delivering a unique musical experience through original compositions and reimagined standards.
Since its formation in 2021, the Armel Dupas Trio has developed a melodic, contemporary style of jazz in which the elegance of an acoustic trio meets a deeply human approach to live performance. For this three-night residency at 38Riv, the trio will present three distinct programs showcasing different facets of its musical world: the landmark albums "Lookin’ Up" and "Just The Beginning", which paved the way for significant digital success; "Standards Vol.1", featuring songs reimagined for jazz trio; and "Everyday Superheroes", a collection of original compositions inspired by the unsung heroes of everyday life. Audiences will also get an exclusive preview of tracks from "Nocturnes", the trio’s upcoming album, due to be released a few weeks after the concerts. With more than 40 million streams across digital platforms, the Armel Dupas Trio has established itself as one of the most-streamed French jazz projects worldwide, while retaining an intimate, acoustic, and deeply vibrant approach on stage. Line-up: Armel Dupas: Piano, Jules Billé: Double Bass, Christophe Piot: Drums. 38Riv Jazz Club is an intimate venue in the heart of the Marais (38 rue de Rivoli, Paris 4e), dedicated to jazz and improvised music.
