As part of the focus on clothing in Paris libraries, the library invites you to travel back in time with this exhibition devoted to women's fashion from the 1900s to the late 1940s.
Inside and out, a focus on clothing in libraries! In May, June, and July, the libraries of Paris invite you to explore clothing in all its dimensions: historical, social, cultural, and political. For this special program, the library invites you to take a leap into the past through an exhibition featuring fashion photos and drawings from the 1900s to the late 1940s, along with excerpts from magazines of the period. Most of these documents come from the digitized collections of the specialized libraries of the Ville de Paris, as well as the Gallica digital library, offering a chance to discover the richness of these collections!
