This night will appeal to fans of… FIDLAR, Together Pangea & Skegss.
SEGO (10:30 p.m.) (Art post-punk - Los Angeles, US) “Art-punk by artists who are neither punks nor artists”: originally from Utah and now based in Los Angeles, Sego first caught the attention of LA tastemakers with their penchant for avant-garde rhythms paired with catchy indie-pop hooks. Since their debut, Sego’s prolific output and experimental live shows have earned them every accolade a modern indie band could dream of: critical praise from NPR, European tours, appearances at Bonnaroo and Austin City Limits, and a national Xfinity commercial aired during the Olympic Games and the Super Bowl. Living and recording together in their downtown Los Angeles warehouse, Sego—“Art-punk by non-punks and non-artists”—originally from Utah and based in Los Angeles, has had its music and performances featured in a national Xfinity campaign aired during the Olympic Games and the Super Bowl, as well as a Jack Daniel’s campaign showcasing their music. The band has performed at major festivals, including Bonnaroo, Austin City Limits, Treefort and SXSW. Sego has toured internationally and shared the stage with Warpaint, OK Go, iDKHOW, Vacationer, Magic City Hippies and Rubblebucket. Their work has attracted critical attention from outlets including NPR, Paste, Rolling Stone Mexico, BMI and Consequence of Sound, and received early support from renowned tastemaker Kitsuné. They have also made several appearances on prestigious live music platforms such as Audiotree, Daytrotter, Jam in the Van and The Wild Honey Pie. Known for their inventive and immersive live shows, Sego’s catalog—Once Was Lost Now Just Hanging Around, Sego Sucks and TANDANG—has helped cement their reputation as a “mosh pit for intellectuals” band, navigating the space between their Utah roots and life in Los Angeles.
