A drummer trained at the CNSM de Paris and active for several years on the Paris scene, notably with the quartet AMG, Mailo Rakotonanahary has been continuing his studies since September 2026 at the Herbie Hancock Institute of Jazz Performance in Los Angeles, under the direction of Herbie Hancock and Ambrose Akinmusire. While in Paris, he presents his new compositions written in the United States, blending tradition and contemporary influences in a project that reflects the evolution of his path between Europe and America.
