On the occasion of the Printemps culturel 2026 de l’ INSPÉ de l'académie de Paris , on Friday, June 5, 2026 , the Chœur de Sorbonne Université , conducted by Frédéric Pineau, invites you on a tender, poetic musical journey around the theme of childhood. Across ages and cultures, this program explores the many faces of childhood: first awakenings to the world, family bonds, memory, the passage of time, and attachment to the land. Nursery rhymes, lullabies, and folk songs from different traditions are subtly and modernly reimagined by contemporary composers, in a choral work that is by turns luminous, vibrant, and melancholy. True to its taste for dialogues between repertoires and worlds of imagination, the COSU offers here a universal musical meditation on “the cycle of life,” movingly questioning childhood memories and the child each of us still carries within.
