Based on the words of children from families that are rarely represented — blended, single-parent, affected by transition, disability, or neurodivergence — “Missing Stories” was born: eight sensitive, funny, and powerful tales about the nature of connection and love. These stories come to life in a musical kamishibai (Japanese paper theater), led by two artist-storytellers and a few instruments. An immersive, lightweight, and adaptable format that celebrates the richness of life paths and gives children stories in which to recognize themselves, imagine, and grow.
