Symphony. n. This word, derived from the Greek σύν, together, and φωνή, sound, refers, in ancient music, to the union of sounds that form a concert — Jean-Jacques Rousseau. In the modern approach proposed by Laurent Dupont, a symphony for crumpled paper means bringing music and visual arts together. Both an auditory and visual creation, Plis/Sons is a play of reflections between hearing and touch: folded, stroked, creased, crumpled, stretched and torn, a sheet of paper can shape the voice and movement, while the machine captures, transforms, modulates, shapes and plays back the sound. Using pieces of cardboard, a few sheets of paper, a little light and an electroacoustic system, the Acta company creates an original stage installation that introduces very young children to musical theatre. Light, delicate sculptures hang suspended in a poetic space, as much to be seen as heard, for the duration of a dream. From 10 months to 4 years old. Admission: €7 for children and €14 for adults.
