EXHIBITION FROM June 24 to August 28, 2026 Opening reception on Wednesday, June 24 at 6:30 p.m. (open to everyone) In situ installation by Luca Nicolao Located on a grove at the highest point of the park designed by Jean-Charles Alphand, the Batignolles kiosk appears like a transparent temple: slightly secluded, a place for contemplation and observation. Inside, a representation that, like a garden, is both structured and ever-changing. It can only be grasped in motion. We stop, walk around it, leave, and return. A suspended screen-plane, broken down into a multitude of translucent sheets, floats in anticipation. It holds my latent photographs of the garden. Under the effects of light and wind, the screen becomes permeable to the landscape and its variations. The work creates tension between the image of the real place, the photographic image, and the mental image reconstructed by the viewer in response to the installation. The kiosk then becomes a chamber of apparition: a space where perception, presence, and memory coexist within a single composition. About Luca Nicolao is a photographer whose artistic practice centers on space and the experience of places. His work often emerges from wandering: capturing images becomes a physical activity, an instinctive response to the landscape.
