A work from the immersive exhibition designed by students from Beaux-Arts de Paris at Espace Niemeyer, engaging with the architecture to offer a sensory and poetic experience around love and the memory of the place.
4,35m², Two installations measuring 200 x 250 x 70 cm - Wood, 2026 4,35m² is an installation integrated into the sofa at Espace Niemeyer. Two triangular volumes are installed facing each other, each in its own wing of the impressive concrete seating designed for the architecture. Each reveals the same proportion of the wing it occupies, in order to reveal the 4,35m² of surface area that differentiates each one. In this way, the raw-looking, symmetrical furniture reveals its true dimensions and invites viewers to use this space for meeting and conversation, usually deserted, while coexisting with the works. Clément Plaquet was born in 1996 in Paris, graduated from Beaux-Arts de Paris in 2025, and is a student in the Fresque & Art en situation program at Beaux-Arts de Paris. Clément Plaquet explores spatiality through colors, light, and materials that reconfigure the perceptual experience of architecture. He seeks to reveal the intrinsic characteristics of a place by using its properties and materials. His in-situ installations offer visitors a “gentle immersion” through the use of a personal color palette, patiently developed in particular through his practice of artisanal printing.
