As part of the “Clair-obscur” exhibition, and in connection with artist Fujiko Nakaya’s immersive installation Cloud #07156, presented at the Bourse de Commerce, Brazilian choreographer and dancer Ametonyo Silva is offering a dance workshop designed for Super Cercle members.
On Fridays, June 12 and 26, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., we invite you to take over the Foyer and Rotonde spaces at the Bourse de Commerce. Echoing the unstable and ephemeral nature of Fujiko Nakaya’s fog sculpture, Ametonyo Silva offers you a guided dance experience, enabling a sensitive, embodied exploration of the work and the Rotonde space. Together, bounce, tremble, jump, and, through repeated gestures, make images and sensations emerge and then disappear at the heart of the fog. To help you fully enjoy the workshop, we recommend wearing athletic shoes and light, comfortable clothing. Artist biography: Ametonyo Silva is a choreographer and dancer from the Nordeste of Brazil. In São Paulo, where he studied stage direction and collaborated with choreographer Sayonara Pereira, he developed collective practices at the crossroads of dance, theater, and transmission. Based in France since 2022, he holds a master’s degree from exerce at CCN Occitanie, in Montpellier. His work explores experiences of displacement and migration through a choreographic research practice — assombramentos — grounded in shared abundance. The vibration of the body becomes a driving force for warmth, joy ( alegria ), and transformation.
