A work from the immersive exhibition designed by students from Beaux-Arts de Paris at Espace Niemeyer, engaging with the architecture to offer a sensory and poetic experience around love and the memory of the place.
Pulsations, Light installation, 2026 Pulsations is a story of heartbeats that interact with the space of the conference room. The project grew out of the notion of malfunction: that of the lighting in the conference room at Espace Niemeyer. The work evokes the heartbeat, originally sonic and here made perceptible through light intensity. The installation tells the story of characters in dialogue with one another. They are variations in color and light intensity, as well as different frequencies. Léo Guidez is a visual artist and student in the Fresque et Art en situation program at Beaux Arts de Paris, working with painting, projected images, and light. After many years working in cinema, audiovisual media, and live performance, he turned toward a personal artistic practice centered on traces, on what disappears, and on the everyday materials he collects during his travels. He has taken part in many art projects in public space, in France and Latin America, notably with Alliance Française au Guatemala. A project co-produced as part of an educational partnership with École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts de Paris, with the participation of Espace Niemeyer.
