The eighth edition of Paris Ass Book Fair will take place from June 5 to 7, 2026 at Palais de Tokyo. It will bring together creators, authors, enthusiasts and collectives from around the world to present books, fanzines and publications of all kinds.
Paris Ass Book Fair was born from a desire to give an important place to marginal, unruly and discordant sensibilities, desires and aspirations, and to assert a joyful approach to art and publishing, a taste for provocation and the absurd, and a wish to stimulate minds and bodies. It is a celebration of countercultures in all their richness and diversity, where visitors can discover, among others, gay, queer, feminist, underground, punk and decolonial artists and publishers, environmental advocates, and researchers exploring the edges of classical systems of thought. Every year since 2017, the fair has brought together artists, booksellers, publishers and zinesters around one commitment: to present printed publishing as a medium in its own right, a vehicle for individual and collective expression, and a way to make creation accessible to as many people as possible. The publications and projects presented take forms at the intersection of many fields: fanzines, artist books, magazines, clothing, multiples, novels, essays, posters, and more. Exhibitors are selected with particular attention to those who have limited access to the market, whose creations are not found in the usual distribution channels, or who give voice to experiences and questions that run counter to dominant norms. As a crossroads for exchange and sharing, the fair is accompanied by a program of talks and performances. This year, the legendary magazine BUTT has chosen Paris Ass Book Fair to celebrate its 25th anniversary and, for the occasion, has been invited to design a special public program on Sunday, June 7.
