For the Family Weekend on June 13 and 14, the Maison de Balzac is offering a festive, free program for the whole family. Saturday, June 13 - Writing workshop with Julie Abécassis PORTRAITS GALORE. OF YOUR FAMILY, YOUR FRIENDS, YOUR ROOM… For families. Writing alone or hand in hand is a unique experience for children and adults alike. Plenty of emotion guaranteed, along with smiles and laughter. Taking part in Julie Abécassis's writing workshops is a moment of sharing and inspiration that has been a real success. For once, Balzac will be your source of inspiration. You will hear descriptions of Balzacian settings to encourage you, in turn, to create a portrait of your room or that of your friends/family! A time for conversation and connection where words swirl between family members and within the group. Registration on the day, 30 minutes in advance. 3 sessions of 40 minutes starting at 3 p.m. More information Sunday, June 14 - Festive wind quintets with the Conservatoire Régional Ida Rubinstein The CRR (Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional de Paris) Ida Rubinstein invites you to explore the rooms and garden through music. The chamber music students from Philippe Ferro's class, four wind quintets, have prepared a program specially designed for the museum, for Balzac, with works by his favorite composers and more. Writing and music, an opportunity to enjoy a literary interlude away from prying eyes.
