During a free workshop with Electrocycle, learn how to install an open-source system to keep your phone longer, without depending on the digital giants.
The association Electrocycle works to reuse old electronic equipment (over 4 years old): just as switching a PC to Linux can sometimes make very old PCs perfectly usable again, installing an open-source OS on a smartphone can greatly extend its lifespan. This prevents them from being treated as waste, gives users control over the apps they install, and helps avoid the exploitation of rare resources and child (and adult...) labor in mines. From June 2 to 19, the association Les Canaux invites you to its Festival de l’Économie Engagée: a free, festive, and committed event in the heart of Paris. Three weeks to explore, debate, and draw inspiration from an immersive exhibition on social, solidarity-based, and circular innovation.
