Students from the CMA6 Theater discovery track revisit the English playwright's work.
In the heart of a labyrinthine forest alive with the first stirrings of love, passionate or rejected lovers cross and uncross paths as they flee, alongside powerful and mischievous magical creatures and an amateur theater troupe awkwardly preparing a performance for their king's wedding. This poetic and fanciful play is a meditation on the powers of dreams and imagination in the face of a reality that can sometimes be cruel and rational. It is also a reflection on the power of theatricality and the wondrous phenomenon of performance. “We are such stuff as dreams are made on; and our little life is rounded with a sleep,” said Shakespeare. Performed by students from the Theater discovery track, ages 13-15, Pascal Seguin's class. Salle Collet. Free entry subject to availability.
