Originally from Martinique, Joanne Dolly lights up the Parisian scene with rare intensity!
A singer, double bassist, and flutist, she moves between genres with striking ease. Her universe is an organic fusion of gospel, jazz, and Afro-Caribbean rhythms, where every note breathes freedom and passion. On stage, she lives, she shares, she carries the audience away, weaving a connection between jazz, soul, and Caribbean vibrations. Her double bass becomes a dance partner, her voice a wave that brings people together. Each performance turns into a collective ritual somewhere between celebration, trance, and prayer. Inspired by legendary figures such as Sarah Vaughan, Carmen McRae, and Esperanza Spalding, Joanne nevertheless forges a singular, radiant identity rooted in the moment. She writes her own story, between incandescent groove and raw poetry. With Joanne Dolly, music becomes a breath, a smile, a force that strikes straight to the heart.
