A VR narrative experience that immerses the user in the cognitive and emotional experience of blindness
In 1983, John Hull, an English theology professor and writer, permanently lost his sight. To help him understand and come to terms with this upheaval, he kept a personal diary of audio cassette recordings for three years. A unique testimony that immerses the user in the cognitive and emotional experience of blindness. The narration, art direction, and visual world create a uniquely immersive experience, complemented by spatialized sound, freedom of movement, and interaction. A production by Ex Nihilo, Archer’s Mark, Novelab Audiogaming in co-production with Arte France, supported by the Tribeca Film Institute New Media Fund / Ford Foundation – Just Film, the Centre National du Cinéma et de l’Image Animée (CNC), and the Région Midi-Pyrénées. Sessions of about 15 min | free admission Saturday, June 6 and 13, from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. Wednesday, June 24, from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
