Let yourself be swept up by the creative energy of Benjamin Sanz, a renowned drummer and composer, as he leads a jam session where improvisation and tradition come together. Drawing on his eclectic background and collaborations with legends such as Archie Shepp, David Murray, and Joëlle Léandre, Benjamin pays tribute to Black American music and jazz while exploring a wide range of soundscapes inspired by his many influences: African jazz, contemporary music, and much more. He will be joined by two exceptional musicians: Tony Tixier on piano, a pianist and composer of Martinican origin whose distinctive writing draws as much from jazz tradition as from European classical music; and Étienne Renard on double bass, a talent from the new French jazz scene. Together, they will dive into the world of Ahmad Jamal — that master of silence and swing, whose sense of space and groove has influenced generations of musicians — for a jam session that is both intimate and radiant.
