Two musicians with a passion for waltz have decided to join forces to present a unique program dedicated to gypsy waltz. Adrien Tarraga, an enthusiast of “old-style” gypsy jazz, will spotlight gypsy waltz through its connection to valse musette - an older and deeply traditional style. Lu Golovina, fascinated by the richness and versatility of gypsy jazz, will explore more modern waltzes as well as works by contemporary composers. Over the course of the concert, the musicians will blend waltzes and swing pieces to convey the full diversity and flavor of the style. On the program - waltzes in all their forms, along with essential jazz standards.
