Discover a unique therapeutic approach

This workshop offers time to reconnect with your breath, yourself, and others. Dance awakens our natural creativity. By moving freely, we reconnect with our sensations and relearn how to fully inhabit our bodies. Dancing then becomes a way to reconnect with ourselves, with others, and with the life force that carries an innate joy within it. The workshop begins with a warm-up before exploring several dance exercises. It ends with time for reflection, resonance, and sharing. Kindness and non-judgment are at the heart of the approach, creating a free atmosphere conducive to imagination. It is led by dance therapist Mytam Mayo-Smith from the O2 Danse Thérapie association. O2 Danse Thérapie aims to provide therapeutic support through dance and movement for everyone. It supports and contributes to research and training on the connections between dance and care. Registration with the librarians opens on Thursday, September 17. No dance experience is required. Come as you are, wearing comfortable clothing.
