A choreographic solo for a dancer who composes her dance and the piece’s original soundtrack live.
“Underdog,” which could literally be translated as “under dog,” originally referred to the loser of a dogfight and, more broadly today, to someone considered to have little value in society. UNDERDOG is a choreographic solo for a dancer who composes her dance and the piece’s original soundtrack live using an analog keyboard, a drum machine, and a looper. This stage setup invites the audience to discover a being who, through sound, voice, and movement, seeks to engage with her strengths and weaknesses in an attempt to reveal the complex truth of a body.
