Come observe the partial solar eclipse with the teams from the Association Française d’Astronomie! A magnificent phenomenon at sunset, followed by an evening of skywatching and activities. Thanks to the partnership with the city of Paris, 20 parks and gardens will be open to everyone from June 27 to September 5, 2026.
On August 12, 2026, a partial solar eclipse will be visible in France. In Paris, the Sun will be nearly 93% eclipsed! The Sun will set while partially eclipsed: a sight not to be missed. Come observe it safely with the AFA teams from parc André Citroën starting at 7 p.m. After sunset, the AFA sky guides will point refractors and telescopes toward the starry sky, away from the lights in the parks, to offer Parisians of all ages, alone or with family, observations and workshops for finding their way around the sky. What are these shining stars? How can you recognize them and find them again? Depending on the dates and times, they will be able to observe through a telescope eyepiece the craters of the Moon, deep-sky objects such as nebulae, star clusters, or simply (re)discover the constellations of our celestial vault and the myths that accompany them.
